Are you having trouble with a build up of earwax? Or noticed muffled hearing, whistling, ringing or buzzing? Is the volume of your television up loud? Removing earwax blockages, can significantly improve your hearing. Lack of hearing can be frustrating and cause discomfort. Ear wax removal also reduces the risk of ear infections. Our specialist ENT (Ears, Nose and Throat) nurse practitioner uses a gentle micro suction, which protects the ear canal from moisture. At Vitaluxe our ENT nurse practitioner will help you by removing wax build up safely and effectively using state-of-the-art electronic irrigator for micro suction, which controls pressure and is gentle and safe. The ENT nurse begins by examining the ear canal of one or both your ears and ask you a few questions about your general health and the current condition of your ears. The nurse will clear your ear/s using the method above. If there is not wax during this examination you will pay £25, which covers the consultation and assessment. Price is for treatment to one or both ears. The appointment should take between 15 – 30 minutes. Pre-treatment instructions* Put two or three drops of olive oil in the opening of your ear. Gently massage the skin at the front of the entrance to your ear canal to help the oil work its way in. Remain on your side for 5 to 10 minutes. Wipe away any extra oil that drips from your ear when you sit up. You can also purchase ear drops from your local chemist in preparation. Please do this for a few days and then book for your appointment. *This pre-treatment process is not recommended for anyone who has a perforated ear drum.
